The Essex frame is made with an extra 1 1/8" solid wood frame of selected kiln dried soft and hardwoods. For added durability all the frame has also been stapled, glued, and corner blocked.

Can I see the fabric before I order?
Yes, and you should. Order up to 3 free swatches, look at them in the room the piece is going in and at different times of day, then come back and choose. Nobody should buy several thousand dollars of upholstery from a photograph on a screen.
Is delivery included?
Yes. White glove delivery is in the price: two people bring it into the room you want it in, unpack it, do the light assembly and take the packaging away. Check your postal code on this page first, because our delivery partner does not cover every area.
Where is the Essex Sofa made?
It is built to your order in Canada by Stylus, in Vancouver. Not everything we sell is Canadian made, so the pieces that are carry a Made in Canada tag. This one does.
Can I change my mind after ordering?
Once your fabric is cut the piece is yours, because it is made to your specification and cannot be sold to anyone else. That is exactly why the swatches are free, and why we would rather you took a few weeks over the decision.
